COMICS

Comics are a great way to reach teenagers and young audiences. There are even adult audiences that enjoy and respect comics as a valid comms medium.


Digital tools have transformed this craft and made it a lot more affordable.
 

We could run a pilot on a subject dear to DAWN,
perhaps the climate crisis, to attempt to reach teens and offer a high quality feminist
message.

In this example, a New Yorker article that contains an audio recording of a reading of the article. It is intended for listeners on the go, audio-book and podcast audiences.
It also serves the visually impaired.

VIDEOS

We have enough resources to produce a variety of video
products at good quality and low cost. Character-driven, short documentaries made by female filmmakers.

 

We could even think of teenage filmmakers paired
with professional filmmakers in workshop schemes.
We recommend exploring this very popular medium
and using Social Media to disseminate it.

The idea here is that if we go ahead with a run of the
Content Machine say for instance, on the launch
of the PEC book, and end up with a podcast talking
about the book, a short video on the subject and a few
SM posts, we would also add a webpage to DAWN’s
website containing these new products. Or simply have
a webpage on DAWN’s website with the main content,
in this example the PEC book, and add all secondary
products to it.
